MSC Cruises Adds More Theme Cruises for 2009-2010 Caribbean

MSC Cruises wants you to pick up your feet when cruising in the Caribbean next year, and has added some new theme cruises for the occasion. A Polka cruise has been added to the already popular Big Band and Baseball themes for 2009-2010. In addition to having two state-of-the-art ships sailing Caribbean itineraries for the first time– the new MSC Magnifica, fresh from her inaugural, and MSC Poesia – MSC Cruises’ 2009-10 Caribbean season will feature several already popular theme cruises and the line’s first Polka Cruise.

Baseball Theme Cruises: Because MSC Cruises has received such strong response from previous seasons to guests who have had the opportunity to mingle and learn from some of the greats of the game, five baseball theme cruises are slated for the 2009-10 Caribbean season:

MSC Magnifica
Jan. 2 and Feb. 6, 2010: 7-night “Island Treasures & Ancient Temples” Western Cribbean; rates begin at $499.
March 6 and April 3, 2010 “Eastern Caribbean Enchantment”; rates begin at $549.

MSC Poesia
Nov. 20 10-night “Dazzling Dutch Caribbean and Panama Southwestern Caribbean”; rates begin at $799.

Big Band Cruise: MSC Poesia’s 10-night “Remarkable Rainforests and the Panama Canal” Deep Western itineraries departing Dec. 10 and Feb. 27 will feature the 15-piece Les DeMerle Big Band with vocalist Bonnie Eisele. Featuring the sounds of Ellington, Basie, James and Miller, plus Broadway hits, rock ‘n’ roll classics, hot Latin grooves and show-stoppers from the ‘40s through today. The band will also perform a Big Band Jazz Concert and conduct a lecture on the Big Band era. Rates begin at $749 per person.

Polka Cruise: A new additon to the Caribbean season theme cruise lineup is a Polka Cruises. Guests will be able to kick up their heels to the sounds of two polka bands on MSC Poesia’s Jan. 8 10-night “Tropical Splendor and European Charm” Southeast Caribbean sailing. Rates begin at $749 per person.

And don't forget our own JazzFest at Sea scheduled for November 30, 2009 onboard the MSC Poesia!
